Visio 2013 Org Chart Pictures using Exchange as a  Data Source

When I run the org chart wizard it creates the org charts however no pictures show up. How do I make the pictures show up when Exchange is the data source? We use Exchange 2010, Lync 2010, Outlook 2010 & 2013 and pictures show up in all those apps and are loaded in AD.

WHat needs to be checked or configured to have the org-chart in Visio 2013 show those pictures?

Hi

If you want to show the pictures in the Organization chart we need to add the photo the display fields. Please try to do the following steps:

Create a new Organization chart> Organization Chart Wizard choose information that's already stored in a file or database> Choose A microsft Exchange Server directory> Select Photo and add to display fields> Choose the information which you want to show> I want to specify how much of my Organization to display on each page > Choose the team

This is great. One question: I'm not seeing "Photo" as an option in Visio 2010. Is it not available in that version? Or could this be an issue with Exchange? (We do see pictures in Outlook, for what it's worth, but I don't know what version of Exchange we're running)

This option is not available in 2010, only 2013.

I have that option selected but Visio is not populating any photos.  What attribute in AD or Exchange does it read to populate these photos?

I have visio 2013 and was able to import from office 365 directory but no photos come though. I have selected the option during the import process but still no photo

Hi

I have the same issue. Data are imported fine from Exchange, but pictures are not imported from AD. Pictures are showing fine in Outlook 2013 and SharePoint 2013, but not imported in Visio 2013. I am using the ThumbnailPhoto property in AD.

Anyone have solved this

Has anyone found a solution to the pictures not showing?

I would like to see if there is an answer as well. The org chart does not show the picture even though it is in AD and displays in other apps just fine. BTW, I did do the above to no avail. Funny. Visio 2013 shows the picture next to my logged in name at the top right of the application, so it knows it
